Terms & Conditions

Supercanic – Terms and Conditions

Supercanic is a Doing Business As (DBA) of Hemet Mobile Mechanic, registered with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), Registration No. ARD314449. All repair services are performed under BAR ARD314449 in compliance with the California Automotive Repair Act (B&P Code §9880–9889).

1. Repair Authorization

Supercanic provides written estimates and obtains customer authorization prior to performing repairs as required by California law. No repair exceeding the authorized estimate will be performed without customer approval unless permitted by statute.

By signing a repair order, approving work verbally or electronically, or delivering a vehicle for service, Customer authorizes Supercanic to perform the approved repairs and related necessary operations.

2. Mobile Mechanic Services – Custody & Possession

When mobile mechanic services are performed, Customer voluntarily places the vehicle into the temporary custody and control of Supercanic for purposes of performing authorized repairs.

Customer acknowledges that Supercanic may retain possession of the vehicle keys until full payment is received.

Payment for mobile services is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If payment is not made upon completion and the outstanding balance exceeds $300, Customer authorizes Supercanic, at the time of signing the repair authorization, to transport the vehicle by tow truck to its licensed repair facility for secure storage pending payment.

Customer acknowledges that this transport authorization is voluntarily granted at the time repairs are authorized and forms part of the repair agreement.

Any storage, towing, and administrative fees will be added to the outstanding balance.

Supercanic will exercise lien rights only in accordance with California Civil Code §3068 and related statutes.

3. Storage Fees

Upon completion of repairs and notification to Customer, the vehicle must be retrieved within three (3) business days. The day repairs are completed and Customer is notified shall count as Day One.

If the vehicle is not retrieved within three (3) business days, storage fees of $65.00 per day will begin accruing on the fourth business day.

4. Mechanic’s Lien & Lien Sale

If a vehicle remains unpaid and unclaimed for more than fourteen (14) calendar days after lawful possession and notification, Supercanic reserves the right to enforce its mechanic’s lien pursuant to California Civil Code §3068.

Any lien sale will be conducted strictly in compliance with California statutory requirements, including proper notice.

5. Payment & Retention Rights

Full payment is due upon completion of authorized repairs. Supercanic may retain possession of a vehicle lawfully in its custody until all authorized charges, towing charges, and storage fees are paid in full.

6. General Repair Warranty

Supercanic warrants its workmanship for a reasonable period consistent with industry standards unless otherwise stated in writing on the invoice. Warranty applies only to the specific repair performed.

Warranty claims must be inspected by Supercanic prior to corrective action. Repairs performed elsewhere without prior written authorization may void warranty consideration.

7. Engine Swap & Engine Rebuild Limited Warranty

Engine swaps and rebuild services include a limited warranty of one (1) year or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Customer must follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules.
  • Customer must retain and provide receipts documenting oil changes and required service intervals.
  • Warranty claims must be serviced exclusively at the Supercanic San Jacinto Garage location.

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Operation with low or insufficient transmission fluid.
  • Operation with low or insufficient coolant.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by California law, Supercanic shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages including loss of vehicle use or income. Nothing herein waives rights provided to consumers under California law.

9. Personal Property

Supercanic is not responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.

10. Acceptance of Terms
