Not a call center. A technician who works on your year, make and model checks the labor times, the parts, and whether the diagnosis even matches the symptom you described.

Bundled labor that's already paid for
If the front end is apart for one job, the second job in the same area shouldn't be billed at full book time again. This is the single most common way an estimate quietly doubles.
A part replaced to chase a code
A code points at a circuit, not at a part. When an estimate lists three sensors for one code, nobody has tested anything — they're swapping parts on your dime until the light goes out.
Maintenance sold as a repair
Fluid services and filters written onto a brake or cooling job at repair prices. Often worth doing. Almost never worth what it's priced at when it's bundled in.
"Your engine is done"
Sometimes true. Often a timing chain, a lifter, an oil control valve or a cooling failure that hasn't killed anything yet. We rebuild and replace engines ourselves, so we have no reason to oversell one.

Questions people ask first
Is it really free?
Yes. Reading an estimate you already have costs you nothing and carries no obligation. We charge once you ask us to do actual work, and that price is written down before a wrench turns.
Do I have to use you for the repair?
No. Plenty of the estimates we read come back fair, and we say so. Take what you learned back to the original shop if you like.
What if my car is already at the other shop?
Then read this before you authorize anything. Once the work is approved you own the bill. A five minute text now is the cheapest part of the whole job.
How fast do I hear back?
We text you back, usually within a minute. We're open 24 hours, so that includes nights and weekends.
What areas do you cover?
