Smog and ocean air over time corrode brake lines and aluminum components. Hills in neighborhoods like Silver Lake, Mount Washington, and the Palisades work suspensions and clutches harder than flat stretches. Carlos addresses all of it on-site so your day does not get hijacked by a shop visit.
Severe Service Schedule for LA Drivers
Most vehicle manuals list two maintenance schedules: normal and severe. LA driving meets the severe-service definition for almost every car. That means more frequent oil changes, sooner transmission fluid service, and earlier brake inspections. Carlos will set up a maintenance plan based on what your vehicle actually does, not what the dashboard mileage chart assumes.
For most LA commuters, we recommend full synthetic oil at 5,000- to 7,500-mile intervals, transmission fluid at 30,000 to 60,000 miles depending on the model, and brake inspections every 10,000 to 15,000 miles.
Production Vehicles, Talent Cars, and Crew Trucks
The entertainment industry runs on vehicles. Production trucks haul gear, talent cars need to look perfect on a moment's notice, and grip trucks live a hard life moving between locations. Carlos provides on-set service when shooting locations allow it, and he can also visit production company yards or driveways to keep fleet vehicles in shape. Diesel repair is available for grip trucks and other heavy-duty crew vehicles.

Apartment Living and Curbside Repair
A lot of LA residents do not have a private driveway. Carlos works in apartment lots, street parking with proper space, and small office parking areas. We bring our own absorbent mats and a small canopy for shade so the work area stays clean and the customer's neighbors stay happy. We follow all city rules for what can and cannot be done curbside, and we will tell you if a job needs a private space.
Carlos handles engine repair, computer diagnostics, cooling system service, electrical work, timing belt and chain jobs, suspension repair, and roadside assistance when you are stuck on the 405 or anywhere else. We also serve nearby Hawthorne in the South Bay.
