The jobs we see most are injectors, turbos, glow plugs, DPF and EGR service, and DEF faults. For a work truck or a small fleet, we set up a maintenance plan and keep the service records on file, so the truck spends its time on the road and not in the bay.

Work Trucks and Older Vehicles

Lots of households here still keep a work truck. Pickups, dump trucks and farm utility rigs are everywhere, and plenty of them are old enough to need real work. On older trucks, cooling system service means a radiator pressure test, a water pump check and a coolant flush. An old engine that runs a little hot all the time won't last.

Mt San Jacinto Foothills and Suspension Wear

The east side of town runs right up into the foothills of Mt San Jacinto. Those streets are steeper than the valley floor, and the grade wears brakes, suspension parts and CV joints faster. We suggest an annual suspension inspection for vehicles that drive the foothill streets daily, especially trucks and SUVs that haven't had ball joints or tie rods replaced in a long time.

If you drive the 74 east toward Idyllwild, flush the brake fluid on schedule. That climb heats up the brakes, and old fluid boils sooner than fresh fluid.

Heat, Dust, and Oil Service

Summers in the valley are hot and dusty. Oil breaks down sooner than the standard schedule says, and air filters clog before the dash reminder comes on. Our oil change service uses an oil weight that holds up in the heat, and we check the engine and cabin air filters on every visit.
