Downtown, Grand and Northside

Arlington, Magnolia Center and Casa Blanca

This stretch runs along Magnolia Avenue. Eastside, Hunter Industrial Park and Edgemont

The city calls the Eastside one of its oldest and largest neighborhoods, part of Riverside since 1870. Hunter Industrial Park holds Hunter Hobby Park at 1401 Iowa Avenue. In 92507, 64,249 people live in a mix of hill streets and flat blocks, and 1980s homes lead with 3,935.

Roads that wear cars out in Riverside

The 91, 60 and 215 meet downtown, and Caltrans is finishing a $22.7 million pavement project on the 215 south of that junction to south of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Work was scheduled for completion by fall 2026. Expect slow lines near work zones, which cook brakes and transmissions.

Riverside has a rule for doing your own work. Chapter 19.527 of the municipal code says repairs in residential zones happen in an enclosed garage or a rear yard behind six foot fencing. Repairs in a front or street side yard are not allowed. Minor repairs finished within 24 hours, such as brakes or a tune up, may happen on a legal driveway or parking space. Only one vehicle can be under repair at a time, and it must be registered at that address.
