Three-Freeway Commute Wear
The 91/60/215 interchange is one of the busiest in California. Riverside drivers who commute through it daily put more stop-and-go heat on their transmissions and more wear on their brakes than the average California driver. We see transmission service needs sooner than the factory schedule suggests, and brake jobs on commuter cars often come due at 25,000 to 35,000 miles instead of the highway-driving 50,000 to 70,000.
For drivers heading west on the 91 toward Orange County or south on the 215 toward Perris and beyond, we recommend a brake check every 10,000 to 15,000 miles and a transmission fluid service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles depending on the vehicle.
